The vent and vent stack selector section of the slide rule permits the user to set the drainage stack diameter and vent diameter and the rule shows the maximum developed length of vent for the appropriate total fixture units and the developed length of vent for the appropriate slope. The drainage selector section of the slide rule permits the user to set the diameter of the pipe and the rule will show the maximum number of fixture units in relationship to the fall per foot of the appropriate drain or stack. The slide rule shows the information for both the ICC International Plumbing Code and the IAPMO Uniform Plumbing Code.

The Slide Rule is double–sided, appx. 3 inches wide by 9 inches long.
