WQA, IA, and NGWA to Host DC Fly-In on March 3-4

Water Quality Association members will join members of the Irrigation Association and the National Groundwater Association for the fourth annual Water Resources Congressional Summit March 3-4, 2020, in Washington D.C.  Known at WQA as the DC Fly-In, the event provides opportunities to hear from Congressional staff and regulators involved with water and the environment and to provide industry expertise in meetings on Capitol Hill.

“Attendance at the Summit has grown each year as our members realize the value of being able to provide feedback as well as learn from these officials,” said WQA Global Government Affairs Director David Loveday. “We want members of Congress and their staffs to see us as an invaluable, available resource when dealing with crises like PFAS contamination or lead in drinking water.”

The Summit begins at 10 a.m. EST (9 a.m. CST) on Tuesday, March 3, followed by an evening reception. March 4 features an entire day of congressional office visits (by members in small groups), with the last meetings of the day scheduled to end at 4 p.m. EST (3 p.m. CST).
