The Women of ASPE (WOA) is offering two scholarships to help deserving members attend ASPE’s 2021 Tech Symposium in San Diego this September. The goal of these scholarships is to promote the importance of fostering the growth and professional development of women in the field of engineering.
Each scholarship will cover expenses up to $2,500, which includes a one-year ASPE membership renewal, a full registration to the 2021 ASPE Tech Symposium, any special events, roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, airport transportation, and meals.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply, you must be:
- A female either employed in a plumbing-related field OR a student currently enrolled in an engineering program
- A current member of ASPE
- A current member of WOA
Scholarship Process
To apply, you will be required to fill out an application and write a 500-word essay explaining why you would like to attend the 2021 ASPE Tech Symposium and what you hope to accomplish by participating in the event. You must submit your application and essay by July 30, 2021.
The WOA Committee will review all applications and will make their final determination on August 6. The recipients of the scholarship will be notified on August 9.
