Wavin Invites Water Leaders to UN Water Conference Events in NYC

Wavin WaterTech ForumASPE Affiliate Sponsor Wavin is an accredited organization for the upcoming UN Water Conference on March 22–24 in New York City and invites local industry leaders to a number of events both inside and outside the UN.

Wavin WaterTech Forum: The water crisis has quite literally reached its boiling point. Wavin and Imagine H2Oboth global leaders in water innovation, are partnering on “The Boiling Point,” a panel discussion followed by a pitch competition with promising entrepreneurs that are moving the needle to meet UN water goals. For instance, one of the startups is focused on addressing lead pipes in support of “Water for Quality.” The judges and audience will vote, on the spot, which entrepreneurs rise to the top to win the $50,000 Grand Prize and $10,000 Audience Choice Award. This will be followed by a discussion of circular water design based on nature-based solutions. It will be held Thursday, March 23, from 8:30–11:30 a.m. at the Dutch WaterHouse, just blocks from the UN, and you can register here for tickets.

Women in WaterWomen In Water: This is a sanctioned side event of the UN Water Conference for women in water-related professions to create lasting connections. Women and girls are disproportionately impacted by water stress, but often lack decision-making power to influence climate finance commitments to water security. At Wavin, we believe that engaging and supporting more women as leaders will help drive progress and create a more inclusive and equitable society. Women in Water, hosted by Wavin, Chief, and the FEMSA Foundation, will be held at the Chief NYC clubhouse in Tribeca on World Water Day, March 22, from 5–8 p.m., and you can register here for tickets.
