The Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA) recently announced the winners of its Processor Safety Recognition Award, based on 2020 data, and ASPE Affiliate Sponsor Uponor was one of the two recipients.
The award is based on OSHA lost work data. It was established to elevate the importance of safety in all aspects of the industry and to highlight PPFA member efforts to achieve safety excellence. The award process includes awards based on the total man-hours for which a processor reports.
Participation underscores for member companies the importance of safety to their own human resource goals. It also provides a body of data that, when coupled with PPFA’s Annual Safety Summit, can be used as a platform to help identify best safety practices in plastic pipe and fittings manufacturing. This exchange of ideas leads to exemplary safety experiences and provides benefits to the entire industry.
