Smart Water Management Webinar Just Announced

On June 24 at 2 p.m. CDT, this one-hour webinar, Application for Smart Water Management in Commercial Buildings, will provide an overview of available market technologies for monitoring and controls in commercial domestic water applications. This webinar is free for ASPE members and $130 for nonmembers. (During the COVID-19 pandemic, certain ASPE Education events are complimentary to ASPE members.)

The webinar will review the current challenges of traditional water systems, focused on commercial and multifamily buildings, and then describe the traditional building plumbing design standards compared to solution tactics of an advanced design. Specifically, it will discuss:

  • Roadblocks for certain asset types, using current technology
  • Limitations of current water management technology
  • Aspects of advanced water management technology
  • Meter assembly with the booster in the basement mechanical room
  • PRV stations with side-arm heaters and pumps
  • Hot and cold riser supplies and recirculating valves
  • Boiler or HEX with storage tank and mixing valve
  • Makeup water and HVAC risers

Adam Bartman, a second-generation Red Seal-endorsed plumber from Toronto, Ontario, began his career working alongside his father every summer in his teens.
