Simon T. Bailey to Headline the 2020 WQA Convention & Exposition in Orlando

“Be the Spark” leader, speaker and author Simon T. Bailey will deliver the keynote address at the 2020 Water Quality Association Convention & Exposition April 1-3 in Orlando. Bailey, the author of 10 books on being fearless and creating your future, will headline the convention’s Opening General Session April 2 at the Orange County Convention Center.

“I’ve followed Simon for many years and am thrilled that he will be sharing his ideas — and, yes, his spark — with water quality industry leaders,” said WQA Executive Director Pauli Undesser. “Our convention theme of “Vision 20/20” was designed to highlight just the kind of creativity and transformative mindset Simon sparks in his audiences.”

Bailey says there is no room in today’s competitive business world for “lackluster performance, half-brilliant contributions, or low-burning customer service.”  Instead, he leads people to spark their company, customers and employees.

Bailey, former sales director for Disney Institute, was named one of “25 Successful People Who’ll Help Change Your Life” by Success magazine two years ago. He has worked with more than 1,700 organizations in 46 countries, engaging and inspiring team members through his workshops, books, online courses and speeches.

He is the author of 10 books, most recently Be the SPARK: Five Platinum Service Principles for Creating Customers for Life, and he teaches a variety of popular online courses. His “Goalcast” video has more than 87 million views.

For more than 40 years, the WQA Convention and Exposition has been the signature event of the water treatment industry. Education sessions are offered on all three days. The trade show floor with more than 240 exhibiting companies will be open April 2 and 3.

For the third year, WQA’s Business Boot Camp will be offered alongside the convention. This intensive one-day workshop in all aspects of running a water treatment business will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  March 31 at the Orange County Convention Center.

Advance pricing is offered for those who register by Feb. 5, 2019, at wqa.org/convention.

WQA members receive a discount on registration and sponsorship opportunities, and new WQA members are eligible for free convention registration their first year of membership. Membership information is at wqa.org/membership.
