Registration Is Open for the WaterSmart Innovations Webinar Series

With in-person networking and meetings cancelled this year, officials with the WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition have opened registration for a series of webinars scheduled for six consecutive Wednesdays beginning September 23.

According to the website, the WaterSmart Innovations Webinar Series will be presented by urban water-efficiency experts working in a range of disciplines, covering topics including as marketing, education, landscaping, conservation, and water loss. Three half-hour sessions will be presented each week, and registration is free. Participation is limited to 500 persons per webinar.

“While the webinars can’t replace the face-to-face experiences offered each year at WSI, we believe the topics and presenters will be of interest not only to water professionals, but to anyone interested in learning what steps they can take to help foster a more sustainable water future in their community,” said WSI Program Chairman Doug Bennett.

Presented by the Southern Nevada Water Authority in collaboration with other forward-thinking public- and private-sector organizations, the inaugural not-for-profit WSI was held in 2008 and brought together professionals around the issue of urban water efficiency. With a typical audience of 1,000 attendees from across the country and around the globe, WSI has grown into the world’s preeminent event where professionals can share their successful water-efficiency practices, policies, and experiences.

The COVID-19 epidemic forced the SNWA to cancel this year’s planned 13th annual WSI conference and expo, originally scheduled for September 30 – October 1, but the conference is on track to return to Las Vegas in the fall of 2021.
