Liberty Pumps Designated as an Essential Business by New York State

On March 20, 2020, Liberty Pumps released the following letter from Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Randall Waldron:

“Dear Valued Customer,

“Many of you may have heard that New York State has closed all non-essential businesses starting today, March 20th. This is now a 100% state-wide mandate. I am sure this raises many questions in regards to getting Liberty products.

“As a manufacturer of pumps, critical within the infrastructure for removal of sewage, wastewater and also flood protection, Liberty has been designated as an essential business by New York State. With that designation, we are allowed to remain open utilizing 100% of our workforce. We are, however, going to take certain steps above and beyond the safeguards put in place by the CDC and the state and local governments. This is to protect our people and those they may come in contact with.

“While we are now allowed to operate at 100% workforce, we will be reducing the number of people in our building to only 50% at any one time. Also, all people capable of working from home, are now doing so until further notice. With these changes, you should see no reduction in service levels for order entry, customer inquiries or technical customer service. Our team remains ready to assist you!

“As of today, Friday, March 20th, we are still shipping product “as normal” and production remains operating.

“Please be aware, things are rapidly changing. The safety of our people remains our first priority and second, is making sure you can get the essential products you need. I am proud of our employee owners who continue to go above and beyond to service our customers during these unprecedented times.

“We will continue to advise you as changes take place.

“Stay healthy and safe.”
