International Code Council Receives Award for Commitment to Building a Sustainable Workforce

On January 31, at the International Building Show in Las Vegas, Building Talent Foundation (BTF) honored its 2022 Industry Champions, for their above-and-beyond commitment, contribution, and collaboration in building a sustainable workforce in residential construction, and the International Code Council was one of the recipients. BTF’s mission is to advance the education, training, and career progression of young people and people from under-represented groups, helping them develop into skilled technical workers and business owners in residential construction. The Code Council has supported BTF’s mission to build a sustainable workforce and is being recognized for its programs, such as Safety 2.0, that help welcome and guide a new generation of members and leaders to the building safety profession. Dominic Sims, Chief Executive Officer of the Code Council, accepted the award.
