Illinois PCAC to Hold Public Meetings on February 6

The State of Illinois Plumbing Code Advisory Council (PCAC) has announced the rescheduling of three subcommittee meetings to February 6, 2020. The Fixture Requirements Subcommittee will meet at 9 a.m., the Grease and Gas/Oil Separation Subcommittee will meet at 10:30 a.m., and the Backflow/Cross Connection Subcommittee will meet at 1 p.m. All meetings will be held at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources building at One Natural Resources Way in Springfield, Illinois.

  • 890.120 Subpart F: Plumbing Fixtures
  • Appendix A, Table B
  • Determining occupancy load
  • Areas not defined in the plumbing code: unoccupied/temporary facilities, parks, open malls
  • Single-occupant restrooms
  • Family restrooms
  • Multi-level food service areas
  • Urinals
  • Drinking fountains
  • Mobile food units

Grease and Gas/Oil Separation Discussion Items

  • Maintenance
  • Materials/design
  • Sizes and locations
  • When required
  • Future use
  • Buoyant forces/installation

Backflow/Cross Connection Discussion Items

  • CCCDI licensing
  • Possible re-visit of topic, in future, for improvements, adjustments to assure an even higher quality of licensees, the tests, and testing procedures
  • Definitions 890.120
  • Revise 890.1130
  • Revise approved material standards
