IAPMO Statement on COVID-19

IAPMO is committed to safety: as we protect the health of the nation through plumbing, we also act to protect our members and employees. The States of California and Illinois have issued state-wide shelter in place orders as of March 19, 2020. In compliance with those orders, IAPMO has closed its offices in California and Illinois, effective immediately. However, to the fullest extent possible business will continue. To that end, we have implemented telework solutions enabling many of our staff to assist our clients and members remotely. We ask for your patience as we get up to speed with these new procedures under these rapidly changing circumstances.

We confirm that the IAPMO Annual Conference and the ASSE International Annual Business Meeting plans for 2020 are anticipated to proceed.

The Emerging Water Technology Symposium has been postponed. All those who have registered will be contacted via email with additional details as they become available.

The safety and health of our delegates, exhibitors, visitors, partners, and staff is our number one priority.

We are carefully following the World Health Organization’s (WHO) and EU Health Authorities recommendations and protocols. Up-to-date advice from the WHO on this topic can be found here: who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019.

We will take all reasonable preventive measures regarding COVID-19 at our events, as well as provide information and support to all attendees prior to and during the event in accordance with all local health authorities.

We are monitoring the situation daily and will communicate any changes as they arise.

Should there be any changes to the current status from the WHO and local health authorities, we will follow this and implement all appropriate instructions and recommendations.
