In this edition of Get to Know, we are pleased to introduce Matt Strathman, a member of ASPE’s Kansas City Chapter. Matt has been a member of ASPE since 2017.
ASPE: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Matt: Bora Bora. I love being on a beach, so why not visit one of the most beautiful beaches?
ASPE: What are your hobbies outside of work?
Matt: I enjoy golfing, fishing, hiking, and kayaking.
ASPE: Do you have a nickname?
Matt: Yes, Stratty. It started at K-State and it has stuck with me.
ASPE: Do you have a favorite vacation spot? Where is it and why do you keep going back?
Matt: North Carolina. I can see my favorite sister in Charlotte, head east to Oak Island for some relaxing beach time, or west to Asheville where I can spend time in the mountains or at one of their many breweries. I keep going back because my sister is one of my favorite people on this earth, and the more I explore the state, the more I love it.
ASPE: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Matt: Thanksgiving. Nothing beats family and good food.
ASPE: Who is your hero?
Matt: My brother Robert.
ASPE: What did you want to be when you were a child?
Matt: A country music star.
ASPE: If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Matt: The ability to fly.
