Free Webinar for ASPE Members on CPVC to Be Held May 14

CPVC for Commercial Plumbing and Hydronic HVAC Applications,” a one-hour webinar at 1 p.m. CDT on May 14, will focus on the most common applications for CPVC in modern commercial construction: hot and cold water distribution and hydronic heating and cooling. Specific topics discussed will include the history of CPVC usage and development, material properties, flame resistance, code approvals, expansion and contraction, system supports, joining options, dimensional types, insulation requirements, and more.

The features and benefits of installing a CPVC system will be addressed, as well as the most common missteps and errors regarding the design and installation of these systems to help prevent failure and maximize longevity. Emphasis will be placed on practical, real-world examples.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate why CPVC is unaffected by common disinfection techniques
  • Correctly design systems to account for expansion and contraction of CPVC
  • Specify CPVC for its most suitable applications
  • Determine under what circumstances CPVC would and would not require insolation

Sponsored by Corzan Piping Systems, this webinar is free for ASPE members and $130 for nonmembers. Attendees will earn 0.1 CEU for participating. Registration is available at ASPE Education.
