DiscoverE Introduces At Home Engineering

As we all navigate the new realities of learning and teaching at home, DiscoverE has created a new resource: At Home Engineering. This new collection of resources includes a series of articles that offer suggestions, activities with just a few materials, and videos you can use to engage your students or child in engineering.

At Home Engineering includes

  • Video challenges: Try designing a container that keeps an ice cube from melting or creating a foil boat that doesn’t sink.
  • Hands-on activities: Open-ended design challenges that require minimal materials and re-written instructions so kids can do the activities with little parent or teacher involvement.
  • Parent and educator articles: Teacher Tips for Distance Learning, Creating a STEM-Friendly Home, and Why the Engineering Design Process Matters More Than Ever.

All of these new resources are available for free at discovere.org/at-home-engineering.
