CIPH Is Offering a Free Webinar on Canadian Low-Lead Requirements

On Tuesday, May 31 at 11 a.m. EDT, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) will host a live webinar titled “Low Lead Content Requirements for Canadian Plumbing.”

This webinar will discuss certification and requirements restricting the amount of lead used in plumbing products for drinking water and how these requirements are addressed by model codes. Reducing lead in potable water materials has been an effective method of reducing lead exposure to the public, and how compliance is ensured in Canada through model codes and standards will be addressed in this interactive forum. The webinar will help participants identify which plumbing products are affected and compliant products.

This webinar is complimentary for CIPH members,  nonmembers, and those who want a better understanding of low lead plumbing requirements in Canada.

The presenters will be Brook Hatton, Technical Oversight Specialist with CSA Group, and Joe Rogers, Building Code Coordinator in the Office of the Fire Marshal for Nova Scotia.
