Charlotte Pipe has a new cast iron plumbing system for aggressive DWV applications: Edge HP Iron. The high-performance pipe and fittings are specially coated for applications that may need enhanced protection, like hospitals, commercial kitchens, and casinos.
Charlotte Pipe Edge HP Iron goes through a series of steps during the manufacturing process, including reaming the ID, shot blasting the OD, and coating with a pretreatment layer, before receiving two layers of high-performance coatings. To help differentiate it from other cast iron pipe and fittings, Edge HP Iron is gray in color. It meets or exceeds all coating performance requirements within EN 877, while conforming to the applicable ASTM and CISPI standards.
The full line includes 2–15-inch NH and SV pipe in 10-foot lengths and more than 560 SKUs of 2–15-inch NH, SV, and XH fittings. With this addition to its family of products, Charlotte Pipe customers can continue to have one source of accountability for all of their plumbing needs, while receiving the quality plumbing products and dedicated service they expect from the company.
