Building Innovation 2020 Rescheduled for August

The leadership of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) has made the decision to move the Building Innovation Conference & Expo scheduled for April 6–9, 2020 to August 16–19, 2020 in Arlington, Virginia at the at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel.

Building Innovation is the premiere event for the built environment and includes the annual meeting of NIBS. The show attracts a wide array of attendees, including building and construction experts, government officials, contractors, engineers, architects, scientists, and more. It will cover a full spectrum of exciting developments and challenges, from future-ready design and building grid integration and best practices for anti-terrorism security to modular multifamily housing and solutions to the skilled labor crisis.

New this year is an overhauled program structure, reducing the length of sessions to a more “TED Talk”-style format, encouraging speakers to present high-level content. There also will be improved attendee engagement, with a special focus each day—resilience, technology, and workforce. Attendees can earn up to 19 AIA-approved CES/HSW credits for full conference attendance, which will feature 46 sessions over the four days.

Full conference registration includes access to the welcome reception, keynote breakfasts, three days of education, and the awards lunch, and one-day registrations are available as well. Pricing is tiered for members, nonmembers, and government employees.

More information and registration are available at buildinginnovation.org.
