After a two-year pause, the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE22) is returning to an in-person format on June 12–15 in San Antonio, Texas, with 16 professional learning tracks and 80 sessions, including 26 sessions that will be streamed virtually.
Among the track highlights for ACE22 are:
- A Focus on PFAS
- Climate Resilience
- Intelligent Water Solutions
- Managing Lead in Water
- Small Systems Management and Operations
- Strengthening Public Trust
The Managing Lead in Water track is timely as water utilities prepare to meet requirements from a revised Lead and Copper regulation and address corrosion control, lead inventories, and communications challenges. The Climate Resilience track includes a session about integrated planning and management for resilient water supplies and another on climate impacts and adaptation. The Intelligent Water track highlights several water innovations, including applying advanced analytics, demystifying digital twins, and planning for a digital transformation.
More than 30 hours will be presented both in-person and virtually. The hybrid topics include:
- Water Quality Challenges: Lead and PFAS
- Asset Management
- Infrastructure Insights
- Utility Management
The entire professional program is available here and on the “AWWA Events” application, which is now available. Users can also create a personalized schedule and track session attendance for certificates.
Attendees can register early to take advantage of discounted prices, including $1,095 for members to attend the full conference, and student members can register for $40. ACE22 also offers a virtual-only option, which costs $395 for members and $125 for student members.
ACE22 is expected to draw several thousand attendees and feature an exposition with more than 360 exhibitors and 900 booths in the Henry B. González Convention Center.
