2022 WaterSmart Innovations Is Set for October 4-6 in Las Vegas

The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) is excited to announce that the 14th annual WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition (WSI) is set for October 4–6, 2022, at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas. Together with many key partners, they look forward to bringing together the very best experts for the world’s largest and most respected conference on urban water efficiency.

As climate change and drought conditions amplify, water supply conditions have become extremely challenging, particularly in the western United States. Despite already having one of the most successful conservation programs in the world, SNWA is currently implementing unprecedented additional conservation measures to address the first-ever shortage declaration on the Colorado River, its primary source of water. These programs require extraordinary focus and optimization of SNWA staff resources.

To focus all of its resources on implementing unprecedented conservation measures and expanded drought management programs, SNWA is partnering with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) to present WSI. SNWA will remain engaged in the conference planning and the event itself, working closely with AWWA and all partners. Together, they anticipate a seamless transition with AWWA for partners, exhibitors, and attendees and look forward to continuing the culture and values of WSI that are so integral to the event’s success.

SNWA and AWWA deeply value WSI’s many important partners and sponsors. Their involvement is what makes WSI the success it has become. With their support, WSI will continue to reflect the interests of a broad coalition of stakeholders from inside and beyond the water sector. This new partnership honors WSI’s values and leverages AWWA’s world-class conference expertise to carry forward WSI’s legacy of being the gathering place for anyone interested in urban water efficiency issues.
