Remote Proctoring Candidates are permitted to take the exam from April 5 - 16, 2021 via remote proctoring. Registered candidates will receive confirmation emails from ProctorExam (via Strasz) with more information about technical specifications and requirements to take their exam. Candidates do not select a date and time for their examination. Candidates launch the remote proctoring software through Google Chrome web browser and begin their exam session.
About the technical requirements:
Your computer is required to have a webcam (internal or external) which will be used to monitor you during the exam process.
You’re required to download an app to your Android or Apple phone or table. This will be placed behind you in the room which you’ll be taking the exam to monitor your surroundings.
You’re required to use Google Chrome and download a browser extension which records your monitor. Nothing is downloaded or stored to your computer. Upon the conclusion of your exam session you may remove Google Chrome from your computer if you wish.
Your internet speed should be consistent enough as to not time out during your exam session. It’s recommended that your internet speeds be at least 5 MB down and up. If you need to determine this please visit speedtest.net and run a test on the computer and internet connection you will use for the exam.
Active CPDs recertify every 2 years. There are no exemptions. If you wish to maintain your CPD credential you must continue to earn continuing education every 2 years (May 1 through April 30, 24 months later).
Visit this page to complete an inquiry form to notify the Credentialing Committee so they can properly review. Submit this form more than once if you have multiple courses or seminars you're inquiring about.
Individuals whose CPD credential has lapses have 18 months from the date of expiration to submit reinstatement documentation and supply the appropriate fee(s). Read more about the CPD reinstatement process here.
For 2021: This year's exam is being held via remote proctoring and is not being held at testing center.
The exam is typically administered at testing centers around the world. It is a computer-based exam. Locate a testing center here. ASPE only hosts our examinations at Pearson Professional Centers, so keep this in mind when narrowing down your search.
Yes! ASPE has a four-part webinar series for online studies. Please visit education.aspe.org, click Catalogue, then CPD Review Webinar Series. Please reach out to your local chapter to inquire if they host review classes.
