portunities and establishments toget right in themiddle
of the west. Another neat thing about Ft. Worth is that it is
an affordable city. Just check out the hotel rates on the Hous-
ing Form. Allbut one of the 8 hotels has rates under$80/
night. Try andfind that in another major city. If someone is
accompanying youto theConvention,takea look atthe
toursinand around ourconventioncity. And ifyou are
bringing along the kids, for the first time ASPE will be pro-
vidinganall-encompassingprogramforthem. Thisrea-
sonablypriced programwillallowyoutoattendallthe
ConventionandExpositionactivitieswithout havingto
worryabout your children. They willbe taken care ofby
professionals who willhave activities forthemand keep
them busy with fun things to do. Whatever your plans are
forSunday, put asidetheeveningfora reallive western
party at the
world’s largest Honky Tonk, Billy Bob’s. There
is only one place like this and you will be there. There will
be country western bands, entertainment, food, drinks and
bull riding. Yes, that is correct, Billy Bob’s has its own bull
ring right inside the restaurant. You will be invitedto “come
on over” to the bull ring to watch professionalbullriders
put therebodies onthe linetoridethese wild and crazy
animals. If you have never seen bull riding in person, you
are in for a real treat and tons of excitement. Whether you
like rodeo or not, you cannot miss this thrilling event.

The 2002 ASPE Convention and Engineered Plumbing
Exposition in Ft. Worth, Texas will be held during October
26 – 30, 2002. Get it on your calendars. If you miss it,
you
will be the one who made the mistake. Don’t make that
mistake, BE THERE!

CIPE Examination

There were 253 candidates registered to take the 2002 CIPE Ex-
amination. Of these, 241 actually sat for the exam. Final scoring
is not yet completed. Official notification will be sent to the can-
didates by mid-June with official ASPE CPD Certificates sent
shortly thereafter. A complete listing of who passed the CIPE
Examination will be published in the next newsletter.
