or more members. All you have to do is construct a device
that will shoot a tennis ball at a target using compressed
air that is developed by the apparatus or a combination of
compressed air and water. If you remember the contest at
the last convention, it was a lot of fun and very exciting.
Get the pamphlet on the “How Far Can It Go?” contest for
all the rules and information and enter your chapter. It is
guaranteed to be tons of fun!
An overview of the Convention would not be complete
without some information on Ft. Worth, Texas. It is a fun
city with a major western flare. But do not let that flare
fool you. It is a modern, upbeat city with great restaurants,
museums and plenty of nightlife. There are plenty of op-
portunities and establishments to get right in the middle
of the west. Another neat thing about Ft. Worth is that it is
an affordable city. Just check out the hotel rates on the Hous-
ing Form. All but one of the 8 hotels has rates under $80/
night. Try andfind that in another major city. If someone is
accompanying you to the Convention, take a look at the
tours in and around our convention city. And if you are
bringing along the kids, for the first time ASPE will be pro-
viding an all-encompassing program for them. This rea-
sonably priced program will allow you to attend all the
Convention and Exposition activities without having to
worry about your children. They will be taken care of by
professionals who will have activities for them and keep
them busy with fun things to do. Whatever your plans are
for Sunday, put aside the evening for a real live western
party at theworld’s largest Honky Tonk, Billy Bob’s. There
is only one place like this and you will be there. There will
be country western bands, entertainment, food, drinks and
bull riding. Yes, that is correct, Billy Bob’s has its own bull
ring right inside the restaurant. You will be invitedto “come
on over” to the bull ring to watch professional bull riders
put there bodies on the line to ride these wild and crazy
animals. If you have never seen bull riding in person, you
are in for a real treat and tons of excitement. Whether you
like rodeo or not, you cannot miss this thrilling event.
