General: There is a Maryland State Plumbing Code but it is not state-wide. All jurisdictions must adopt the Maryland State Plumbing Code or one that meets or exceeds its minimum standards except for Baltimore County and those served by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC).
